Jay Holcomb is an accomplished piano player in the Greater Seattle area. He plays solo jazz and lounge music, and also has a Jazz Trio which performs occasionally. Jay has been playing the piano since he was about nine years old. He started accompanying fellow students in talent shows in high school, and was soon the swing choir accompanist and involved in theater.
In college he took some music courses, played in an Italian restaurant for a year, produced an indie album of original compositions (called Save It for a Rainy Day), and started gigging with a Classic Rock cover band where he remained for over a year.
Today, Jay performs solo piano at several retirement centers in the area, teaches piano and music theory, hosts house concerts, and books gigs for his Jazz Trio. He's also working on a new original album of inspirational songs.
He has recently been hired to play for:

During the holiday season, he can often be found performing at Sureshot Cafe and Victrola Coffee Roasters. Because Jay has a hard time walking by pianos without playing them, he's unofficially played at many places including the Hilton Hotel and the Roosevelt Hotel in downtown Seattle. He would like to play at Nordstrom's, but since they often lock the keys on the piano he might actually have to apply first ... Anywho, enough of the banter.
